If you’re planning on making a trip, you should take into consideration a large number of aspects. Believe me, you don’t want to discover in the middle of the trip that something important is missing. That’s why you need to take some time and make a complete list of things that you may need while travelling. The first item on the list should be «travel insurance», because that’s something you will need. You may say that everything is going to be just fine even without the travel insurance. But as a person who used to travel a lot and was in a couple of accidents while travelling I strongly recommend you getting a travel insurance plan, because you just never know.

Of course, travel insurance is something you hope you never have to use on the road, but it’s still better than having to go back home and getting some medical help.

Ok, now that you fully aware of the necessity of travel insurance I want to give you some information on what to look for in a travel insurance plan.

First of all, make sure that the plan has a high coverage limit on the medical expenses. Most companies are offering up to 1 000 000 dollars in coverage care. This coverage limit should be more than enough in most cases.

Secondly, make sure that the insurance policy covers evacuation to the hospital. Imagine the situation where you are on top of a mountain with a broken leg in a desperate need of the transportation. Besides that, evacuation should also mean your transportation from the hospital to your home country.

The perfect insurance policy will include the following:
• Damaged electronics
• Coverage in most countries
• Luggage insurance
• Legal expenses
• Flight insurance
• Credit card coverage

Then, after you’ve taken an online survey you will need to make a contract with the most reputable insurance company there is. As an option, you can seek help from a travel agent, but it will cost you additional money. When filling out a form don’t forget to include all the information about your current health condition.
